MID-FLORIDA ACADEMY (MFA) staff will guide a potential prospect through the entire recruiting process. This process includes monitoring and evaluating a prospects high school transcript. MFA will assist the prospect through registering with the NCAA Clearinghouse. Even though the NCAA has relaxed on many of its SAT/ACT requirements MFA will assist in getting the prospect registered for either test.
Coach Denny Hinson has been involved in recruiting from all perspectives of college basketball. Coach Hinson has been an AAU/ High School coach and has a great understanding for what college coach’s expectations are for potential student athletes. Coach Hinson has also been a college Division One assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Coach Hinson will conduct a full evaluation on each MFA post graduate basketball player. The evaluation will be shared with each student athlete to determine what level of college basketball the athlete will seek to further his education. There are many levels of college basketball Juco (D1,D2), NAIA, D3(4 year), D2(4 year) and D1(4 year).
There is no substitute for experience. Coach Hinson has many friends and contacts on every level of college basketball. This experience will be valuable to MFA prospects as the prospect starts to look for opportunities on the next level. MFA will have a monthly newsletter that will be emailed to college coaches and scout evaluators. The coaches and evaluators understand that coach Hinson has the experience to make creditable evaluation on potential student athletes.
